Singing Mamas Sheffield
A gentle, inclusive singing circle for women. Women of all ages and stages welcome.
Singing Mamas is a national non‑profit supporting maternal wellbeing through song, connection and community. Each session offers simple harmony songs taught by ear, creating a supportive space to meet, connect and sing beautiful group harmony.
Many of us didn’t grow up singing. Many of us were told we “couldn’t” sing. Many of us have only ever seen singing as performance.
Singing Mamas is different.
We’re part of an oral singing tradition where songs are shared, not performed - where whatever happens is exactly what’s meant to happen. If you can talk, you can sing. All abilities welcome: no auditions, no sheet music, no pressure.
Babies are welcome but the singing is for you.
A simple moment of shared song - no perfection, no pressure, just community.
Why singing?
Singing together helps us breathe, pause, soothe and restore.
It brings people together, steadies the nervous system and creates a sense of belonging.
Sessions include:
simple harmony songs taught by ear
gentle breathwork
call‑and‑echo teaching
moments to pause, recharge and enjoy
time to relax, release and restore
space to be present and in the moment
About Me
I’m Tash, a certified doula, trained infant feeding supporter and Singing Mamas Community Leader based in Sheffield. I work on a self‑employed, not‑for‑profit basis, and my sessions are insured through Singing Mamas CIC.
I’m passionate about collectivism, community and the ancestral tradition of women gathering in song. Mothers deserve better and I want to help create a village where singing becomes a normal, nourishing part of life in Sheffield for women of all ages and stages.
Sessions coming soon
Our first Singing Mamas sessions in Sheffield will open in early autumn. I’m currently finalising a warm, accessible venue and details will be announced soon.
